I invest my own money and every trade is public.

I started investing seriously during the pandemic. Today I hold about 30 positions in US and European stocks, a few ETFs and a small bitcoin position.

It's a growth portfolio. On eToro I use no leverage and trade long only. Everything is in plain sight on eToro, losses included.

How I invest

A simple method, built to last

I'm not trying to get rich quick. I aim to grow steadily and protect what I already have. These are the three pillars behind every decision.

Investment plan

Before buying, I decide which asset, what weight it gets in the portfolio and why. I spread the money across stocks, ETFs and a small bitcoin position instead of relying on a single idea.

  • About 30 positions across stocks, ETFs and bitcoin

Risk management

My portfolio is almost all equities, so it can fall, and I accept that. On eToro I trade long only and with no leverage, and I keep the risk in plain view with public figures.

  • Risk score 4/10 (max 5 in the last 12 months) · max drawdown −16.2% over the last 2 years

Discipline and transparency

My trades and my returns are on my public eToro profile. You can review the good and the bad before deciding anything.

About me

An investor, not a guru

I'm Victor Cortés, from Colombia. I started investing seriously during the pandemic. My eToro portfolio is a growth one: almost all stocks and ETFs, plus a small bitcoin position. I'm careful with risk: on eToro I use no leverage, trade long only and diversify.

I chose to show my portfolio and trades publicly because I believe trust is earned with transparency, not promises. You won't find get-rich-quick formulas here: just a method, its real results and its risks.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What does copying on eToro mean, and what are the risks?

Copying (copy trading) mirrors an investor's trades in your account automatically, in proportion to the amount you allocate. You can stop copying whenever you want.

The risks are those of investing: you can lose part or all of your capital, and past performance does not guarantee future results. Copy trading is not investment advice. That is why my profile is public: review it and decide for yourself.

Do you give investment recommendations?

No. My content is educational: I show how I invest and why, but I don't tell you what to buy or sell. Every decision is yours.

What is the skill for?

To save you hours of screening. It takes an InvestingPro screener export and turns it into a short list of US stocks to research, ranked by quality, financial health and price, using six published models. It delivers an Excel file, an HTML dashboard and a Deep Dive PDF. Deep Dive means researching in depth, not buying.

Do I need to know how to code to use the skill?

No. You install it in your AI assistant (for example Claude or ChatGPT, as long as it can run Python) and attach your data. You do need the InvestingPro screener export, which requires the Pro+ plan.

Why do you hold so little crypto on eToro?

Because on eToro I look after the profile that others can copy. There I only hold bitcoin (~6% of the portfolio) and, at times, some ethereum. Outside eToro I do hold more crypto, which I manage directly and in a decentralised way. Crypto assets are highly volatile and unregulated in some countries; if they weighed more on eToro, a sharp fall would move the risk of anyone copying me a lot.
